How do I stop these pop ups from appearing?
everytime I click search, I get a pop uptahts says I need to update my virus protection which I know is fake. I also sometimes get a big pop up that sometimes has to do with what my search is. For example, I search for a car dealership, a pop shows something car related. I already tried spybot and I'm now running adaware 2007 to see ifthat helps HELP!!
Elrup R: Up the Top of your page, there should be a tool bar. Including File, Edit, View, Tools and Help.
Click on Tools.
There Should then be an option called Pop-up blocker.
Click on that, and follow that through
Samuel: k, u got spyware and adware installed on ur computer for sure.
i suggest u download yahoo toolbar which includes yahoo anti spy. run it and install it.
then open it and scan ur whole computer. it will find all the adware and spyware.
click remove all.
kaysi: sounds like spyware, but click on tools in internet explorer, internet options, and privacy, and see if theres a check mark in turn on pop up blocker
dfinc: you should run anti spyware program like SUPER ANTI SPYWARE or THREAT FIRE or SPYWARE DOCTOR
